As a bisexual woman I have to say that this makes me very happy. Yes I understand that there might be some changes but all this new law is bringing into effect is men & women are aloud to serve openly gay and that is fine. I know and knew people who served in the Armed Forces who are homosexuals. All they did was make it so men and women who are homosexuals can serve and not kicked out. I personally think it is a great thing myself. I don't care if your gay or not the only problem is that these men and women who choose this will serve openly and catch more shit for putting thier business out in the open. I do not think there will have to be separate barracks or berthing areas for our men n women who are openly gay in the armed forces.
The way I see it is that all the people who are openly gay are just going to have to deal with more shit than before by people who are homophobic. If everyone will deal with it in a proper manner then everything will be fine. Men and women have been serving in the armed forces gay for years. I dont think that there should be in any problems. Not that everyone is okay but this is my belief....
